XpoTalk TV: Robin Klombers of InXpo and Custom Publishing

We decided to change things up and have Adam Mankoff, one of our co-founders, do this week’s XpoTalk Interview. He chats with Robin Klombers, VP of Client Services at InXpo, who has over 18 years of experience in the media and publishing industry. Here is a summary of their conversation:

More Publisher Accountability

  • Incremental revenue opportunities have disappeared over the year
  • Growth of the Internet has increased need for immediate response and measurement of who is seeing sponsor’s advertisement
  • Shift from physical event standpoint to have a level of accountability to drive audience the right audience from a publisher’s subscriber base to an exhibitor and help the exhibitor turn those leads into sales

Driving Audience to Virtual Events – Custom Publishing at Its Finest

  • Publishers bring credibility of brand and content to make the virtual event successful
  • Publishers can bring the audience to the virtual event
  • Custom publishing at its finest to take a client seeking to reach a publisher’s subscriber base and marry the two together to get the word out on these advertisers and sponsors
  • Within a virtual event, also can have accountability as all activity by the attendee is trackable including interactions with booth staff

Effective Way to Measure ROI

  • The level of reporting and detail enables sponsors to drill down who attended
  • With a physical event, it’s difficult to determine who is interested in what product
  • A virtual event enables you to have this level of tracking for sales follow up
