Event Marketing Summit: Summary of Day 3

ems09On the last day of the conference, the sessions and unconference sessions were surprisingly filled with people and engaging discussions. Thanks to everyone who dropped by the InXpo booth, retweeted our tweets and everything in between! And kudos to the Red7Media team for a great show!

For this final day, here are the highlights from the InXpo team:

10 Virtual Events

·         Jessica Heasley recapped 10 diverse virtual events

·         These included virtual worlds, virtual events, and virtual game

·         Key tips: make it interactive and easy to navigate; allow for time for training; and integrate live elements for participation

Social Marketing Discussion

·         Three levels – starting from center and going outward – identity, lifestyle and utility

·         Don’t use something because it’s cool – “the tool isn’t the strategy”

·         Summary: brand = relationship; branding IS personal; marketing = conversation
